EXPLANATION:

   Snakes do not have legs and arms to pull their body along as they move, therefore they make use of their scales and muscles to move about.  A snake's muscles together with its flexible, spongy and loose abdomen skin enables it to move forward without needing to bend its spine.On the other hand, chameleons move slowly more like crawling, by using one limb at a time.

   Chameleons also use their tail while moving in the trees to grab a branch and to achieve balance when needed. Moreover, in order to safeguard themselves from predators,chameleons move forth and back slowly to blend with the leaves moving in the wind. Also to catch preys they crawl slowly till their prey is within their reach.
