Launched in the pre-independence period, SNDP or Sri Narayana Dharma Paripalana movement was not founded by Jyotib Phule but it was founded by Sri Narayana Guru Swamy.
It was an example of regional movement and it was belongs to very backward class of Kerala ( Ezhavas of Kerala) who were untouchables.
