The process of respiration is normal and sneezing is an integral part of the respiratory system. If a person has a faulty respiratory system then the number of inhaled oxygen molecules per breath decreases and this might lead to several serious infections and disorders.

When we sneeze it is because of the tickling of nose muscles which occurs due to external components present inside the nasal cavity. The purpose of sneezing is to release the mucus which contains the components which irritate the nasal cavity. Also , it takes out the foreign particles and carbon dioxide trapped inside the system due to common infections.

The long breath we take before sneezing is actually to pull huge amount of air inside the system and then throw the foreign particles and unwanted gases through the powerful sneeze.

Therefore, this is how sneezing helps in the normal process of respiration.
