The houyhnhnms were so civilized. They behaved in a much matured way than the human beings Gulliver had ever known before. Intelligence, benevolence , friendship and other such qualities which Gulliver thought to be only belonging to the human beings were found in the houyhnhnms. They were of a more sound character than the humans.
