we know that,

P = F / A (general formula for pressure)

F = m × g ‐---------------(1)

m = d × v ------------------(2)

substitute (2) in (1) we get ,

F = d × v × g___________(3)

Using eq. (3) in general formula

P = d×v×g/ A

since, Volume = Area × Height

P = hdg

Hence Proved!!

Hopefully it will help you !!

Answer:

We know that,

Pressure (P) = Force (F) /Area(A) [ General formula of Pressure ]

= (m × g) / A [ Force = mass(m) * acceleration due to gravity(g) ]

= (d × v × g) / A [ mass(m) = density(d) * volume(v) from the formula: d=m/v ]

= (d × A × h × g) / A [ volume(v) = Base area (A) * height(h) ]

= d × h × g [ Area on the numerator and denominator get canceled out ]

= hdg [ Rewriting the above expression ]
