Solution :

Let :

• First Number be 8x.
• Second Number be 9x.

According to the Question :-

$\bf{8x+9x = 221}$

17x = 221

x = 221/17

x = 13

Therefore , The Value of x is 13 .

Hence ,

First Number = 8x

= 8(13)

= 104

Second Number = 9x

= 9(13)

= 117

Therefore , The two Numbers are 104 and 117 .

Hence , The Bigger Number is 117 .
