Answer:

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is a process by which plants obtain their food. Photo means light and synthesis means building together,which is building together with light. Plants use inorganic materials such as water and carbon dioxide and prepare food in the presence of sunlight using a green pigment called chlorophyll found in plant organelle chloroplast. Photosynthesis can be given in an equation as follows

Sunlight

CO2+ H2O ------------------->C6H12O6+H2O+O2

(Inorganic) Chlorophyll (Glucose)

In this process the light energy is converted into chemical energy which is used to convert CO2(inorganic molecule) into carbohydrates for plant's needs.
