Age of Suresh = (x - 6)

Age of Shobha = (x - 3)

According to the question,

(x - 3) = 4(x - 6)

=> x - 3 = 4x - 24

=> x - 4x = -24 +3

=> -3x = -21

=> x = $\frac{21}{3}$

=> x = 7

Present age of Suresh = x = 7 years

Present age of Shobha = (x + 3) = 7 + 3 = 10 years.
