The culture of Meerut is rich and diverse, with all major Indian festivals like Diwali, Holi, Dussehra and Eid celebrated with great fervour by the people. The wooden artefacts manufactured in Meerut are famous, especially cane furniture, wood carvings and engravings. Meerut is the largest manufacturer and exporter of musical instruments.
