Social media and data analytics are changing the scene for most industries today. It is said that social media played a key role in propelling the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power in 2014. It is no surprise that with the elections round the corner in 2019, parties are getting their social media warriors ready to help them combat this war in the digital space. In your opinion, can Social media be used to influence voter behaviour? Can political parties actually leverage data analytics solutions to reach out to probable voters? Justify your answer.

In our Indian society, we always tend to take second opinion of others.Of course, election is not an exception. But, very few people have the ability to think on their own and take decisions based on the context.

social media will surely influence the decision making of the voter.we can say this because, election Commission banned publishing of pre poll survey before the elections.

If political parties employ data analytic tool may be that would be a game changer in step towards targeting people, whom they want to for them.

Recent Facebook Cambridge analytica issue shows that political parties are having the ability to use Data analytics.

Data privacy is the major concern in the today's digital world.Political parties should focus on data privacy before they use the information of voters in election campaign.

India is not having stringent law yet but privacy is a fundamental right according to the recent supreme Court judgement.

Let's hope for free and fair elections.
