I remember that once in a country one social media (I won’t name the country or the social media) was filtered (and it is still filtered in that country). All the businesses based on that specific social media collapsed and many people lost their jobs and sources of income.
After a while some of the businesses returned on that social media using VPNs. But they could ever compensate the loss.
It is interesting to note that the mentioned social media is still the most popular one in that country and most of people never stopped using it as a sign of standing against wrong policies the government of that country applies.
