 social networking sites do not exactly affect our relationships. instead, they help us to keep in touch with our family and friends, during long holidays, we might be unable to meet our friends and if social media would not have existed, we would lose touch with our friends. Through social media, we can keep in touch and communicate with our family and friends. even if we call our friends or relatives at any time of the day, it can be inconvenient for them to talk to us at that moment. so instead we can message them through social media which would not disturb them. also, even if we do not read newspapers on a daily basis, we can always keep in touch with the outer world though social networking websites like facebook and twitter. 
thus, social media does not always affect our relationships.
