Ans. With the conquest of Gujarat, several sea ports came under the control of Alauddin Khalji. Via these ports, he imported fine horses (since India had lacked fine horses) from Persia, Arab, Central Asia, & Iraq. It strengthened his military strength and he had captured the southern and western parts of India.
