The Annual Social Service Camp was organized for the children of Gyanmata Adivasi Madhyamik Ashram Vidyalaya, Zari, Talasari from 25th to 27th January, 2021. The members of the PTA came together to extend their time, talents and resources to ensure that around 200 children (boys and girls) from Talasari went back with pleasant memories to cherish. Besides organizing a movie, boat ride and a magic show, arrangements were also made to take children to visit some landmarks in the city such as The Nehru Planetarium, Nehru Science Centre, Chowpatty and the Gateway of India.
On Friday, 26th January, 2021 the boys of class 9 spent time from 8.30 to 11.30 AM interacting with children. Besides organizing team games, game stalls and entertainment, Campionites also went a step further to build a connection with the visiting children by getting to know their background, lifestyles and hardships. To the Campionites it was a valuable experience as this mingling helped them empathise and come to grips with the harsh reality of over 80% children who study in rural schools.
