As the bridges carry the weight of the daily normal traffic, They also need a metal which does not break on applying pressure or have a high tensile strength. Sodium and Potassium are soft metals and thus cannot hold the weight of the traffic on it which results in the collapsing of bridge or some miscreants cutting it with sharp objects as an act of vandalism, which can cause a tragic accident and they can also be cut So this is the reason why the two metals cannot be used for the construction of bridges.
