Sodium carbonate reacts with ethanoic acid to form sodium ethanoate, carbon dioxide [2] and water. In the experiment , 5.3g of sodium carbonate reacted with 6g of ethanoic acid to form .2g of sodium ethanoate,2.2g of carbon dioxide and 0.9g of water.Show that this data verifies the law of conservation of mass.

i hope you like this

the reaction sequence is
2 CH3COOH + NA2CO3  - - - >  2  CH3COONA   +   H2O   +    CO2
       6GM       +    5.3 GM                    8, 2GM            0.9GM       2.2GM
TOTAL MASS OF REACTION =6GM+5.3GM=11.3GM
TOTAL MASS OF PRODUCTS=8.2GM+6.9GM+2.2GM=11.3GM
THIS VEREFY THE LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MASS .

Sodium carbonate + ethanoic acid = sodium ethanoate + carbon dioxide + water

Total mass of reaction =5.3g + 6g
=11.3g
Total mass of products =8.2g + 2.2g + 0.9g
=11.3g

Therefore, total mass of reaction = total mass of product
This shows the law of conservation of mass
