Sodium hydrogen carbonate soluble in water but not calcium carbonate

i think it is so because of the properties

Calcium carbonate chemical structure is not able to form bonding with water molecules where as most of the sodium and potassium salts able to do. Moreover ionisation of calcium carbonate is not taking place in water. Compounds that can ionize in water will dissolve in water.
