Sodium hydroxide reacts with ammonium sulfate to form a salt, a gas and water.
a) Write a balanced chemical equation to show the reaction. Include state symbols.
b) In an experiment, 20cm3 of 5mol/dm3 sodium hydroxide was reacted with excess ammonium sulfate.
(i) How many moles are there in 20cm3 of 5mol/dm3 of sodium hydroxide?
(ii) Find the mass of the salt formed in the reaction.
(iii) What is the volume of gas produced, measured at room temperature and pressure?
