False

By ' blue litmus red ' we actually mean , blue litmus paper changing into red colour . We say that when dipped in Sodium hydroxide , litmus paper changes its colour to blue because sodium hydroxide is a base and red litmus paper or solution when in contact with a base changes into blue colour . As Sodium Hydroxide is a base it will not be able to change blue litmus paper into red colour , therefore this statement is false .
