Since sodium is highly reactive to oxygen in the air, it is kept under kerosene to cut off the supply of air which makes it to burn vigorously . Mark me as the brainliest pls.

Sodium is highly reactive . So it's kept immersed in kerosene oil to prevent its reaction with oxygen , moisture and carbon dioxide of air to prevent accidental fires .
