Sodium metal is a pure substance and so is sodium chloride, inspite of the fact that sodium chloride contains two different elements. Explain.

Yes ,NaCl is considered as a pure substance as it is a salt and cannot be broken down without changing its composition.Thats why it is regarded as a pure substance instead of containing two elements Na and Cl.
