Sodium is not kept in water because sodium is a highly reactive metal and when it's is kept in water , it reacts with oxygen molecules present in water , which is highly corrosive .................But when sodium is kept in kerosene , it does not react eventually , so as to prevent accidents , it is kept in kerosene not water.
Hope it helps , please mark it brainliest if possible
