Answer:

☞Given:

sofa set market price 7,500

shopkeeper allows successive discount of 8% 5% and 2%

☞To Find:

net selling price

☞Solution:

The marked price is Rs. 7500.00

1st Stage discount 8% will give a reduction of (7500 x 8/100) = Rs. 600.00

So the price now is 7500 - 600 = 6900.00

2nd stage discount 5% (applicable on Rs. 6900.00) will reduce it further by

(6900 x 5/100) = Rs. 345.00

So new price at end of 2nd stage discount will be 6900 - 345 = 6555.00

3rd stage discount 2% (applicable on Rs. 6555) will reduce it further by

(6555 x 2/100) = 131.10

So the new and final selling price will be 6555 - 131.10 = 6423.90

☞ The net selling price will be Rs. 6423.90

=> 7500 - 600

=> 6900.

☆ 6900 × 5 %

=> 6900 × 5 / 100

=> 345.

=> 6900 - 345
