Soft water is simple water and hard water is the water which gets formed by addition of hard minerals

Hard water is water that contain an appreciable quantity of dissolved mineral (like calcium and magnesium). Soft water is treated water in which the only ion is sodium as rain water fall it is naturally soft..... On the other hand soft water taste salty and is sometimes not suitable for drinking.....
