To Find :-

Solution :-

→ Total distance from house to school = 4km .

and,

→ Total time sohail has = 9 AM - 8 : 10 AM = 50 minutes .

now,

→ Speed for first 2 km = 4km/h

so,

→ Time taken = D/S = (2/4) = (1/2) hours = 30 minutes .

then,

→ Time left to covered for next 2 km = 50 - 30 = 20 minutes .

therefore,

→ Speed of boy = D/T = 2 km / 20 minutes = 2/(20/60) = 2/(1/3) = 2 * 3 = 6 km/h (Ans.)

Hence, Sohail should walk the remaining distance at 6km/h to reach just in time .

Solution:

Total Time taken = 9 :00 - 8 :10  = 50 mins

he walks at a speed of 4 km /hr for the first 2 kilometers,

Distance = Speed * Time

=> 2  =  4 * T

=> T = 1/2  hr  = 30 mins

Time left  = 50 - 30  = 20  mins  = 1/3  hr

Distance left  = 4 - 2 =  2 km

Speed  =  2/ ( 1/3)  = 6 km/hr
