Sohan covers a distance of 112 m while walking around a square field twice. Find the side of the field. How much wire will be required to fence around the field once? What is the cost of fencing if 1 meter wire costs ₹ 2.50?

Solution :-

⇒ If distance covered on walking around the field twice is 112 m, then distance covered on walking around the field once is 56 m. So, 56 is the perimeter Therefore, each side of square field is (56 ÷ 4).

⇒ Multiply Perimeter of the square field by Rs.2.50 to find the cost of fencing the field.

56 ÷ 4

⇒ 14 m is the length of each side of the square field.

56 × 2.50
