Soil formation is a very long process. It takes nearly thousands of yrs to make 2cm soil.
It's very precious.So it should b conserved.
We can plant more and more trees. So the roots of the trees won't let the soil go away.Terrse Farming in hillregion , shelter belts inter croping, stop over grazing can help to conserve soil.

soil forms the topmost layer of the earth's crust made of fine particles of rocks formed by weathering. if soil is removed, our planet would be as barren and lifeless as the moon. therefore, it is necessary to conserve soil. we can conserve it by the following measures:
-Check overgrazing
-build rock dams
-Planting trees at short distances act as shelter belts
-begin with some agricultural practises like
strip cropping: planting more than one type of crop in a season.
rotation of crops:planting different crops in each season.
contour ploughing:cultivation of land along the contours in order to check the flow of water otherwise it will wash away d soil.
terrace farming: construction of banks along d contours.
cover crops: they r grown in order to cover d bare ground.
fallowing: allowing land to rest
-Water Management helps to stimulate bacteria.
