Solar energy is converted into ATP in - chloroplast of leaves.

•The process of using sunlight to make glucose, carbon dioxide and water is called photosynthesis.

•Glucose is further anaerobically metabolised into pyruvate.

•Pyruvate is further converted into ATP, in either of two ways i.e presence and absence of oxygen.

•The process of conversion of sunlight into glucose occurs in chloroplast.

•Chloroplast are special cell organelle, found in plants and algae.

•They are absent in animals and humans, this is the reason we are dependent on plants for food and energy.
