Answer:

• Yes, I agree with the statement that Solar energy is supplementing electricity to overcome power scarcity for upcoming generations.

Explanation:

• Sun is the ultimate source of power in every process going on earth.

• India has immense potential for harvesting solar energy, mainly due to its geographical location.

• India lies in the tropical zone which has availability of solar radiation throughout the year. It is estimated by one research that the whole of India receives upto 5000 trillion Kilowatt of solar radiation per year. This immense energy can be ultized for the shortcomings in power supply.

• In India, the conventional source of electricity is thermal power plants. But it causes tremendous damage to environment because of the carbon emissions. Also it is based on a non renewable resource, that is coal.

• But by using solar power plants we can not only reduce the carbon emissions but also our dependency on fossil fuels.

• Because of these reasons, India has increased it's solar power and has produced around 1000 MW of energy.

• But it is still very low compared to the potential. But the government of India along with various research institutions are developing the areas of production and there is no doubt that solar power is the energy of our future generations.

Yes, agreed Solar energy is used for overcoming the energy shortages.

Explanation:

  • Solar energy is the energy of the future and unlike nuclear, coal, and petroleum sources of energy, this firm of energy is open pollution-free, and abundantly available to countries near the equator.
  • This sort of energy can overtake the shortages in electrical power and replace the use of generators etc.
