soldiers came to the fort. How many days will the provisions last at the same rate:
A fort had provisions for 200 soldiers for 12 days. After 4 days, 40 soldiers left the fort.
How many days will the remaining provisions last at the same rate?

consider 200 soldiers complete 1 provision in 12 days

so in 8 days they completed 2/9 provision

so remaining provision 7/9

so for 160 soldiers 7/9 provision lasts in

5/3 days

200×12/1 = 200 × 8/?

? = 2 / 9

Remaining food = 1 - 2/9 = 7/9

= 200×12/1 = 160×D/7÷9

D = 200 × 12 × 7/160 × 9

= 5/3
