a is metal as it is in group 1 and tend to lose electon

b has larger radius as it is below c and have an extra outer shell

Heya mate ✌✌✌

Here's your answer!!!

Here from the figure, we can infer that,

A :-

Group - 1

Period - 3

Valence electrons - 1

Valency - 1

B :-

Group - 2

Period - 3

Valence electrons - 2

Valency - 2

C :-

Group - 17

Period - 2

Valence electrons - 7

Valency - 1

(a) We know that Metals donate electrons. Thus they always have less than 4 electrons in their valence shell. Here, Element A has 1 valence electron. Thus Element A is a metal.

(b) We know that, Atomic size of an atom decreases across a period from left to right. Since Element B is located more to the left than Element C, it has larger atomic size than Element C.

c) Valency is the combining capacity of an element. Here, Element C is a non metal as it accepts electrons from other elements. Since it has 7 valence electrons and needs only 1 valence electron to complete it's valence shell. Therefore Element C is a non metal.

Hope it helps you!!
