Solid as denser as comparedto liquids, still ice floats on water.Explain?

Because when water convert in ice it form some empty space between them because of high volume density becomes less thats why ice float on water

ice is a solid and solids are denser than liquids but ice floats in water because the density of ice is lower than water and its molecules are in a cage like structure which makes it float on water
