In solids particles are closely packed. Inter-particle space is minimum and hence cannot be compressed.

In gases particles are least compact and inter particle spaces are minimum. Hence they are highly compressible.

Hope it will help u mark it as brainailist answer

In solids, particles are closely packed. The space between particles is minimum and hence cannot be compressed.

In gases, particles are loosely packed, and there is enough space between particles. So, they are easily compressible.
