Solid cylinder has total surface area of 462sq.cm.curved surface area is 1/3 of total surface area . find the radius and height of cylinder.​

Total Surface Area of solid cylinder= 2πr(r+h) .

So,

2πr(r+h)=462

2πr^2+2πrh=462

2πr^2+462/3=462 (since Curved Surface Area of cylinder= 2πrh)

2πr^2=308

πr^2=154

r^2=154×722

r^2=7^2

r=7cm

Now,

2πrh=154

h=154×7/22×7×2

h=7/2cm
