Solid liquid and gases are considered as matter not sound

Solids, liquids occupy space and also have mass. Gasses have no mass but it occupies space. But sound neither have any mass nor it occupies some space. Thus solids, liquids and gases are considered as matter but sound is not.

Solid ' liquid and gases are considered as matter but not sound because they can be seen or can be utilised by humans but sound is cannot be seen or utilised and it is not matter because sound is a form of patter in air at a frequency which hear as a sound .
