Solid sodium chloride does not conduct electricity while sodium chloride solution conducts. explain why.

In Solid sodium chloride the ions of sodium and chlorine is attracted by high electrostatic force hence are not free and mobile, while in solution state the ions are separated by the solvents hence they become free and mobile and are able to conduct electricity.
