the particles in solid are thghtly packed and hence ary heavy. Whereas the particles in gases are very far apart and hence are very light.

1. Solids are rigid form of matter.
2.Solids have more intermolecular forces.
3.Solid particles are closely packed.
Dur to this there are more no. of particles in per unit area which makes the density of solids more which make them heavy...
On the other hand...
Gases are light because.....
1.G gases are gud form of matter.
2.p articles of gases have very less intermolecular forces 3.No. of particles per unit area is less...
