Solids are incompressible. Sponge is also a solid. We are able to compress
it. Could you explain. Why?

Sponge has tiny air pores through which air enters into the sponge , thus sponge contains a lot if air so it has a less density and can be compressed easily

sponge is solid but it is highly compressible becoz it has minute holes in it in which d air gets filled. when we press it air expelles out making it highly compressible. but it get backs to its normal shape again
