Solids are rigid because it resist change its shape when any outer force is applied on it. If excessive force is applied it will break in simple words rigidity means(stiffness).

here is your answer:

Solids are rigid bcz the intermolecular forces of attractions which are usually present in ice
and they are very strong.
The particles of ice are very strong so they cannot move from its position but they can
be vibrate from their position.
