Solids don't diffuse into matter because they have very high for of attraction between its particles which makes it tough and rigid and as the particles have high force of attraction they don't diffuse into another solid for the same reason and because it is rigid.

According to kinetic molecular theory of matter, matter is made of moving particles whose speed differs by temperature. Solid has the lowest kinetic energy so it does not diffuse into one another.
