Answer:

Because the particles don't move, solids have a definite shape and volume, and can't flow. Because the particles are already packed closely together, solids can't easily be compressed. Because there are lots of particles in a small volume, solids are dense.

Answer:

The molecules of a solid is closely packed whereas the molecules of the liquid is not as tightly packed.

Explanation:

The molecules in a solid stay together is a brick like structure. The molecules of a solid are tightly paked. The molecules will be in a defined shape and cannot change their shape and cannot be easily separated. So they have very less chance of movement.

The molecules in liquid are free and are not packed tightly. So they have the freedom to move however they want.
