A heap of wheat is in the form of a cone whose diameter is 10.5 m and height is 3 m.
Find its volume. The heap is to be covered by canvas to protect it from rain. Find the
area of the canvas required.​

r= radius of the cone = diameter/2

here, r =10.5/2= 5.25m

h=3m

volume= 1/3*π*(5.25)²*3=27.56π m³

Heap sides are covered by canvas, so cone like heap curved surface area= πrl m²

l = slant height =√(r²+h²) =√(5.25²+3²)=6.04 m

So,curved surface area= π*5.25*6.04 m² = 31.71π m²

Area of canvas required 31.71π m².
