if the temperature is also 27°c so the presence of Na will be 113.5g.

Density = (mass/volume)

Given, density of water = 1 gm/ml; volume of water = 500 ml

Thus, mass of water = 1 X 500 gm = 500 gm

Solubility of NaCl = 22.7 gm/100 ml water.

Thus, in 500 ml water, mass of NaCl present will be

= (22.7 X 500)/100 = 113.5 gm

Therefore mass percent of NaCl = (113.5/500) X 100% = 22.7%
