Let molecular mass of Alkali is M.

solution A : mass of alkali = 20g

so, number of mole of Alkali = 20/M

given, volume of solution = 250 cm³ or 250mL

concentration of alkali = number of mole/volume of solution in L

= (20/M) × 1000/250

= (20/M) × 4

= 80/M

solution B : mass of alkali = 10g

so, number of mole of alkali = 10/M

given, volume of solution = 500cm³ or 500mL

concentration of alkali = (10/M) × 1000/500

= 20/M

it is clear that

concentration of alkali in solution A > concentration of alkali in solution B

Answer:

Explanation:

To find the concentration of the solution we need to find from the given values of mass and volume about the amount of concentration.

By using the formulae of concentration from mass which is mass is the product of concentration and volume .

Thus, we know that if concentration (C) , mass(M) and volume(V) .

Then, C=M/V

Concentration of solution A will be :-

Given data 20g alkali and 250cc water.

So, C=20/250

C=0.08.

Concentration of solution B will be :-

Given data 10g alkali and 500cc water.

So, C=10/500

C=0.02.

Thus, from the above results we can clearly get that concentration of solution A is more than B.
