Solution A has pH 6

Solution B has pH 8

The lower the pH, the more the Hydrogen ion concentration.

Since Solution A has a lower pH than B, we can say that Solution A has more Hydrogen ion concentration.

If the pH of a solution is less than 7, then it is acidic.

Since Solution A has a pH less than 7 (unlike B), we can say that Solution A is acidic.

If the pH of a solution is more than 7, then it is basic.

Since Solution B has a pH more than 7 (unlike A), we can say that Solution B is basic.
