Let the distance between House and office be X

Let the actual time taken for completing the distance is T hours.

Then according to questions,

X/4=T+45/60

X/4=T+3/4

X/4=4T+3/4

4X=4(4T+3)

4X=16T+12

4X-16T=12

X-4T=+3...(1)

Now if he walked with 5km/hr

He will early
30minutes

X/5=T-30/60

X/5=T-1/2

X/5=2T-1/2

2X=5(2T-1)

2X=10T-5

2X-10T=-5

X-5T=-5/2

SUBSTRATING eq.(1)and (2)

X-4T=+3

X-5T=-5/2

- +. +

___________

T=3+5/2

T=+6+5/2

T=11/2

T=11/2

Putting in eq.(1)

X-4×(11/2)=3

X+(-2×11)=3

X+(-22)=3

X=3+22

X=25km

So, the distance between office and house is 25km.

So, option 4) is the correct
answer.
