Transitive Verb: A transitive verb is a verb which needs an object to complete it's meaning. It asks question with "what or whom"

For example:

They bought some vegetables.

over here we have to question the verb means:

They bought what?

(Ans- Vegetables)

{So the object is= Vegetables}

{and the verb is= Bought}

over here this sentence needed the object "vegetables" to complete it's meaning; hence it's a (transitive verb).

Intransitive Verb: An intransitive Verb makes complete sense by itself. It does not need an object to complete it's meaning. It asks question with "how, when, where"

For example:

Prema shouted loudly

over here also we have to question the means:

Prema shouted how?

{Ans- Loudly}

{ So the verb is= Loudly}

it doesn't have any object but it still makes complete sense, hence; it's a (intransitive verb).
