If x+2 is the factor of 2x^2+5k then we can write that her p(x)=2x^2+5k

where g(x)=x+2

If g(x)=0

then x+2=0

or. x=-2

putting x=-2 in p(x)

p(-2)=>2*(-2)^2 +5k=0

2*4+5k=0

8+5k=0

5k=-8

k=-8/5

Answer:

x+2 is factor of

2 {x}^{2}  + 5k

put x= -2 in

2 {x}^{2}  + 5k = 0

2( {2}^{2}) + 5k = 0 \\ 8 + 5k = 0 \\  \\ k =   \frac{ - 8}{5}
