S=ut+(1/2)at^2

u=20 m/s

a=-g

t=5s

S=20×5-(1/2)×9.8×25=22.5 m

so height of tower is 22.5 m

  • now, the ball moves h height from the tower

at h, v=0

h=u^2/2g=20^2/2×9.8=20.41 m

total height, h'=22.5+20.41=42.91

velocity =(2gh')^(1/2)

[2×9.8×42.91]^(1/2)

=29 m/s

Yazlin: thank you so much
