3x + 2y = 11 ( 2)

From ( 1 )

y = 2x - 5 ( 3 )

Substituting the value in ( 2 )

3x + 2 ( 2x - 5 ) = 11

3x + 4x - 10 = 11

7x = 21

x = 3

Hence the value of y ( Substitute in ( 3 ) )

y = 6 - 5 = 1
